1ST DAY: ARRIVAL AT ATHENS AIRPORT (ACROPOLIS-ACROPOLIS NEW MUSEUM) DELPHI

   Arrival at Athens airport. Guided visit of the Acropolis. You will admire unique architecture and masterpieces: the Erechtion & the Parthenon.  Then we will visit the brand new ACROPOLIS MUSEUM . Departure to  DELPHI. Overnight in Delphi

2ND  DAY: (ARCHEOLOGICAL SITE & MUSEUM DELPHI-PATRAS PORT FERRY TO ITHACA ISLAND ) ITHAKI
  

   Visit of Delphi, sanctuary of Apollo. Kings, Faraos and simple citizens came to visit the centre of the Ancient world where the priestess Pythia served the famous Oracle. Visit of Apollo temple. Afterwards we proceed via Rion to Patras port . We will cross Europe’s 3 largest bridge. In  the afternoon we will  catch  the ferry to Ithaki island. Overnight in Ithaka island

3RD  DAY: (DISCOVER ITHAKI ISLAND – FOLLOWING ODYSSEUS STEPS- FERRY TO PATRAS ) OLYMPIA
  

   Ithaki , the island of ODYSSEUS is one of Greece’s most famous islands from ancient times on. The island that was praise by HOMER as no other place, combines the love for one’s birthplace, the zeal and longing for returning home to it, with the need to travel to obtain knowledge that begins at one’s birthplace and ends with the return to the well-known land with its seafronts and beaches. Ithaki therefore identifies with the HOMERIC place of TROES hero. It is far the love of his birthplace that ODYSSEUS wandered through foreign lands and encountered so many challenges without ever forgetting his beautiful island! In the afternoon we will catch the ferry to Patras. Then we proceed to Olympia. Overnight in Olympia

4TH  DAY: (ARCHEOLOGICAL SITE & MUSEUM OLYMPIA) OLYMPIA 

   Visit of Olympia, birthplace of the Olympic Games. Visit Archaeological site where we will see the altar of the Olympic flame, the remains of the temple of Zeus and the stadium. In the afternoon free time at your disposal. Overnight in Olympia

5TH  DAY: (ARCHEOLOGICAL SITE ANCIENT MESSINI- ARCHEOLOGICAL SITE MYSTRAS) SPARTI
  

   Visit of the truly splendid archaeological site of Ancient Messene.  Then we proceed to Sparti. Enjoy the view passing through olive groves and citrus orchards. Visit of  Mystras, a Byzantine city which  in the 14th and 15th centuries, served as the capital of the Byzantine Despotate of the Peloponnesus. In 1989 the ruins, including the fortress, palace, churches, and monasteries, were named a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In Sparti  we will also  visit the king Leonidas monument. Leonidas was the king of Sparti in ancient times. Overnight in Sparti

6TH  DAY: (EPIDAUROS –MYCENE ARCHEOLOGICAL SITE-NAFPLION) (TOLO)
  

   We leave Sparti  for Epidaurus. Visit of ancient theatre (4cent B.C.), world famous for its outstanding acoustics. We proceed to Mycenae city of Agamemnon where we will visit the Lion Gate, the King’s Tomb’s excavated by Heinrich Schliemann and the ruins of Agamemnon’s Castle. Afterwards we visit Nafplion Greece 1st capital after the Independence War against Turkey. We will see Palamidi a Venetian fortress high above the city &  the Bourzi island. Free time for shopping walking through the historical centre of the city. In the afternoon we arrive at the famous seaside resort of Tolo, (swimming possible). Overnight in Tolo –Nafplion area

7TH  DAY: ISTHMUS CANAL - DEPARTURE FOR ATHENS AIRPORT
  

   We proceed by the Saronic Gulf direction Corinth. Short photo stop by the Isthmus Corinth Canal Bridge.  Then departure for Athens airport.
